Keith Corner

Keith is a life member of the Tauranga Society of Artists and a founder member of the Omokoroa Artists and is most grateful to both societies for the friendship , encouragement and the opportunity to show his work in exhibitions and at Art in the Park , Mount Maunganui . He has twice served on the committee and was vice president for the Tauranga Society and treasurer for the Omokoroa Artists.

Being interested in drawing from a very early age it was inevitable that Keith decided to take up leisure painting and attended evening classes in watercolour and oil painting before retiring. He is mainly self taught and enjoys working in watercolour , pen and ink , coloured pencils and acrylic , his favourite medium being the one with which he is working with at the time. At present he is mainly interested in abstract and stylistic painting with occasional returns to realistic painting .

He considers himself fortunate to have won several awards in the Tauranga Art Society, a national award Taupo and the Skyline Art Award, USA . Although having sold paintings locally and overseas Keith regards himself as a leisure painter , painting to please himself with selling an added bonus .
