Deanna joined the Tauranga Society of Artists in 2002 and has served on the Committee for 3 years as well as being Vice President last year.

Deanna has also been Club Librarian for 2 ½ years and was responsible for upgrading the Library and Video Library, cataloguing all and procuring new acquisitions.The Exhibition Committee has also benefited from Deanna's expertise and she has been involved with the Annual Baycourt Exhibition, Affordable Art Exhibitions and Bay Arts Exhibition.

Deanna loves painting in oil, pastel, and acrylic, and mainly enjoys painting landscapes and seascapes. She especially enjoys and prefers the realism genre. She regularly shows her work at Art in the Park at Mount Maunganui and has successfully sold many paintings there. Sales have also been made within New Zealand and overseas.

Deanna has also enjoyed the friendships that have been made over the years through the love of painting.
